A session with colleague Ton had been planned for a long time. But due to busy schedules, it moved every time. Friday was finally the day. The original plan was for the Loonse and Drunense dunes, but the weather apps disagreed. One predicted dry weather with sunny moments, the other predicted a rainy morning.
So last-minute we opted for a different location and that became the dunes and breakwaters at Burgh-Haamstede.
The forest is unfortunately a bit messy and not a subject for beautiful photos. It became different when we arrived at the dunes and the coast. On top of the dune we had a beautiful view of the surroundings and of course the Zeeland coast is full of those photogenic rows of wooden posts that serve as a breakwater. There I was able to take a nice picture with a slow shutter speed,
A little further on we came to a lake. In the meantime the sun showed itself from time to time and I was able to take some pictures here using a polarization filter.
Then it continued until we saw a herd of fallow deer walking near the parking lot again. Here too they are used to people and remain calm. They looked up every now and then, but just went on grazing again.
After that we were soon back at the car and this session was over. But it was not the last session of the day, but you will read more about that in the next blog post.
