Given the good weather forecast, I took a day off on Friday with colleague and good friend Patrick. Amerongen Castle and the forests of the Utrechtse heuvelrug were the goal. Such a castle is of course also perfect for some photos from the sky, so the small drone was also taken along in the photo bag.
The early morning was cold with temperatures around freezing, but with some sunshine. We started with a tour around the castle. At a more spacious area the drone was sent into the air for some aerial photos of the castle. Also being able to take a nice shot of Amerongen and the Utrechtse heuvelrug behind it.
Then along the path along the Amerongse Bovenpolder where we finally made the crossing to the woods of the Utrechtse heuvelrug. If you look closely you can already see spring pop up a bit, but for landscapes there was not much to do yet. Although I didn’t bring a macro lens with me, I tried the 24-105mm for macro photography on a tree stump with cup moss that Patrick had discovered.
The photos from this session in Amerongen are again below.
